Gangnam Style, Why is it so hot #3 (Special Report)

So Gangnam Style, one of the first YouTube video which manage to reach the peak of a 1 billion views and as of this time of writing Gangnam Style has: 1,140,421,375 views.

So why? why is it so HOT? What about this makes it worth sharing with the people worldwide? The answer is actually very simple if you have read my previous post on viral content. Luck

If you ask me why is this so hot?Simple, I have a very simplified answer and a very complex answer, to save writing a full page post, I'm going to write a very simple one.

My Simple Answer

  - La Macarena

There you go! Thank you for reading this post, remember to shar.... okay fine you want to know the complex answer?

La Macarena, the 'music' video that everyone is literally talking about during the 1970's but what makes it so hot?

The dance.

I mean isn't it? Of course the dance itself is not the only thing as to why this is so popular. Right now in terms of pop music the type of pop music that is currently rising up the charts are K-pop or Korean Pop Songs.
Right now everyone including North Americans are crazy about K-pop okay maybe not all but there is a growing majority of people that actually enjoys it.

The only reason why La Macarena is not as hot as Gangnam Style is simply because internet in the past is not as accessible as it is now. If it has, I'm pretty sure it is comparable to Gangnam Style in terms of hits and views.

So there you have it! The reasons why Gangnam Style is SO popular is simple because of the 3 fulfilled criteria.

- It is a Hot 'niche' (K-Pop)
- The number to targeted audience is very broad, not to mention the amount the dedicated audience who is willing to share like mad to make it popular.
- There are people whom like it and decided to share and also found enough of dedicated audience to like and continue sharing on and very soon it began spreading like wildfire and the final results?

Good job, people, you have make Gangnam style the half-a-month overnight success because of your hard work and I congratulate you for accomplishing the impossible feat, or at least not how YouTube predicted it.

Now if only my blog can be shared like that, sigh, 'continues on my wistful dream'.

So there you go! My special report on Why Is Gangnam style so goddamn popular.
Thank you for taking the time to read and if you like it, share this with your friends or subscribe to us for more!

Viral Content, What makes it Viral? (Overview) #2

Viral Content, something that makes people want to talk about it. Making something Viral is not easy to achieve. It requires work and LUCK at the same time. Gangnam Style is an example of luck which is something I will be talking about in the next post.

If you haven't read my first post which is ages ago, I recommend you to read it which is Viral Content (Case Study) then come back to this post.

Making a content viral requires hardwork and luck at the same time. Why do I say that? Have a look at the points below.

Factors leading to a viral Content:

 Hard Work

  • Creating Apps on Facebook, this is not an easy thing to do but I heard some software can automate that task for you
  • Apps can range from quizzes to games.
  • Promoting your content by getting backlinks
  • Commenting on other uses blog.
  • Finding a HOT NICHE ***

Luck

  • Finding a hot niche is one thing, getting targeted traffic for your niche is another thing altogether. Without targeted audience to use your apps and promote your brand, then what's the point of creating an app for Facebook in the first place?
  • Spam Apps, unfortunately for all you viral marketers, our users are smart now, depending the audience which you are targeting, when it comes to Facebook app, they can recognize whether it is useless or unproductive and they have a CHOICE not to let your app update their status for them.
  • It dies. Yes, sad to say, many have tried viral marketing but failed because it died halfway before it is even considered viral. Will elaborate more on it later.
See, despite hard work, without Lady Luck beside you, you are going to fail as simple as that. Despite that being the case, I don't want to disappoint you by saying Viral Marketing is impossible. IT IS possible, to a certain extend.

Creating Interactive programs for your users to use CAN GREATLY INCREASE viral potential. Especially via Facebook. However, you should NOT ignore other platforms which will allow you to market your products. We have Digg, Reddit, and many many more which is available at your disposable, it just a matter of whether you want to do it or not as simple as that.

There are TONS of article directories you can make use of, submit articles to them! This will greatly increase your exposure to many more people!

Utilize Marketing Software, please marketers, if you want to make real money, please use a software to automate task for you to greatly reduce your workload, by having good keywords and great exposure, you are like an attractive store in a shopping center with things that people want to buy with no competition (Hot Niche).

Some highly recommended software include:
- Market Samurai (Keyword Researcher)
- Sick Submitter
- Traffic Travis
- Keyword Scouter

Create useful 'gifts' for your users to download. This goes out to all bloggers and marketers. Create something useful that our users will want in exchange for sharing it on Facebook or making them subscribe to you. This will also increase the viral potential of your blog or the items you are marketing.
A little more information on this will be added and soon to this blog.

Making use of PLR's
PLR, private label rights, yes, make use of it. Won't elaborate more on this as this is going to be more than a thousand words post if I elaborate this but this will be available in the next few posts.

Of Course, the question that many people will be asking, I implemented all these methods, WHY IS IT NOT WORKING?

Simple, let me give you a quick representation here of what most bloggers who attempt to make themselves known or marketers do:

(Let's call him John) John found a product which he wants to sell on making commissions eBook! He said "This looks interesting! I want to try selling it. But how should I go about it? Hmm.." (Thinks for a while), "Yes! I will use Facebook and Twitter!"

Then John uses an app that allows users to access his free gift in return for sharing or subscribing to his blog via Facebook and Twitter, shared to majority of the article directories and more. He begins to see a slight increase in his website views and subscribers and beginning to think, "Yes this is working!".

A few days later, his website views suddenly receives a sharp decline of views. John mysteriously wonders to himself, "Why?"

There is a lot of reasons why and if one of the factors is not working in his favor (the luck factor), his attempt at viral marketing will fail as soon as it started to see some bit of success.

WHY?

Viral is a very simple terminology when someone likes what they see (Or hate), they share to the other person and the other person MUST genuinely like what they see before they are committed enough to do you a favor of sharing and this continues on and on and on till it reaches a viral stage. IF one person doesn't like what they see and decide to stop sharing, it will die, slowly.

It is that simple, having targeted audience is simply NOT GOOD enough, you need to have dedicated audiences as well! This isn't easy to find and that's where many marketers or bloggers fail at.

That's all I'm going to post today, I hope you like this post and subscribe if you liked it and share!
(An attempt to encourage sharing :D)

Having a unique blog can drive up visitors attention!

In this post it is all going to be about capturing people's attention! Sound simple? Not really of the case, if you would like to capture people's attention and let them stay with you, you have to be unique and today we will be talking about making your blog unique (yea just that I promise :D).

In order to make your blog unique, you can't just use the sort of template Blogger provides, those are more for personal bloggers! In fact some personal bloggers use customized template to express their feelings. Similarly, if you are doing a topical blog, you might want to choose a customized template that suits your blog's theme so when people visit your blog, they will be able to know what topic you will be talking about from one look of the template (Unless you choose template that belong to the classification of clean and elegant, otherwise your blog should have some nice colors to present to your audience.) From today onward, you can start to expect me posting some very nice and beautiful template that are... from WordPress. But don't worry, there are a lot of nice templates out there for you to choose from.

There is also something called audience retention, this means how long your audience stay on your blog.  Please also know that your audience hate to wait. You practically have about 20 seconds to capture your audience attention, shown by a survey. This also includes the time it takes to load the site.

Another thing to add to your blog's uniqueness is none other than your header image, that is really what separates you from a brand to another. You can easily customize your header image using Adobe Photoshop CS5.1, Fireworks, or Paint.net if you don't have either of these tools. Paint.net is free for download over here: Click Here

Just add some image if you would like and your blog's name together and it will look very good. Like my Twitter and Facebook profile page I have a profile picture that is designed in Adobe Fireworks. Some cool font and effects can really make your image stand out (Although I won't say mine is a very well done one...)

So in conclusion, having a good customized blog with your own blog name as your blog header, people can easily identify your blog! Not to mention the use of favicon. Favicon are icons that you find beside your blog's header title like the example below:
Title header image
That is called a favicon, a small little icon that will represent your blog. You can generate your own favicon over here: Click Here
Of course you must have your own image use first in order to convert into a small little icon. But remember, when making the image, it is recommended that you try to make it small as if you do big image size design, the favicon picture might be a little blurry when you resize it.

That's all for this post, got any ideas to write for us? Drop us a note over here: Click Here
Just fill in the application form and I will review to see if it is suitable for use.

How content or videos go viral? (Case Study)

Hello, this time I will be talking about viral contents. I am pretty sure all of you understand by the term viral. Meaning something that spread like wildfire, totally unstoppable.

Viral videos, content, is based on the 4 factors above, to be more exact, one of the 4 factors. Well personally I only share funny videos but, there are many reasons as to why content or videos go viral.

Let look at some case study...

One direction, everyone knows One Direction, one direction is founded not so long ago on xFactor. Roughly about 1 years ago the song named 'What makes you beautiful' has caught on this the other part of the world from North America and it is going viral right now in this city. Almost everyone knows the song! However I don't entirely agree with this as Justin Bieber's music videos are much viral and catch on much faster than one direction. The only thing I can tell why he got so famous is probably his looks and some talent in voice???

Next example, watch this video:

So what has struck you in this video?
This topic is a little controversial, a little funny. This video is also regarding some issue with the girl for a particular singer called (err what again?) Jessica Sanchez. The dramatic reaction of this girl must have impacted quite a lot of Jessica fans no doubt.

So from these examples, what can you deduce?
- Amazing and spectacular does get you pretty far
- Unique songs that are nice for your ears to listen
- Dramatic
- Slightly bit of humor (I think..)
- Being rebellious for something (I think I can categorize it under controversial)

So, since my intention here today is just to describe about case study, we'll leave all the facts as to what contributes to something viral in the next post.

What exactly is SEO?

Hello, this time I will be talking about SEO. I have posting a lot of information on how to improve SEO but never really got a chance to cover it. So I'll be doing it now.

SEO is Search Engine Optimization and as the name implies, it is the art and technique in order to make your blog/website optimized for search engines so that they will want to list your blog/website higher on their searches.

So how does Search Engine Optimization works?
Unfortunately there is no definite answer to this, as Google, Yahoo and bing keeps the algorithms to themselves. A lot of people have tried to SEO their website and failed, a lot more have tried and succeeded, but what is lacking in this success is that they don't know how the search engine manage to find certain post they made found more easier than the other.

As you have seen on the picture above, this is a mind map in general on what people think that made their website successful, especially company sites. They made use of Social networks which would encourage link baiting (I will talk about this someday) which will drive demand into their product. By doing so, it will increase their site rank and improve visibility.

But those aren't part of SEO. These are just methods to increase visibility of your blog/website and some people count them as SEO. Fair enough, they do increase your link count and MIGHT increase your website rank but even so just by that it will not effect much.

SEO are categorized into 2 broad category:
- Off-Site SEO - Uncontrollable
- In-Site SEO - Controllable

Then they are further categorized into 2 more broad groups:
- Black Hat SEO
- White Hat SEO

All these will be discussed at later and I hope that this post gives you a general idea on what is SEO.

Interested in inviting a Guest post on Blogger? #2

Are you willing to write a guest post for other bloggers? What is the point and purpose of doing so anyway?

1. SEO purpose

A guest post will add a link back to his/her own personal blog or website. As everyone knows, getting backlinks that Google will require so that your blog will be ranked higher!

2. Bring more readers!

Another important factor! It is to bring some variety to your blog. By having tons of guest post, their fans might be attracted to your blog and this will mean more readers on your blog! Cool isn't it? Not only that, it will also help you avoid something we call burnout. Will explain that in my next post.

3. Fresh ideas for your next post!

Some people may not notice it, but by inviting a guest post and having it published. Could invite a "follow up" post on that particular topic, or that guest post has just opened up a new idea for your next post.

4. Free content!

You can get not only new ideas for your next post, but you will also get a new content addition to your blog! Readers are hungry for new content and if you haven't had much ideas lately, it might be a good idea to start inviting guest to post on your blog.

That's all for this post. Like this post? Take a minute and share it with your friends and also subscribe to us to receive constant updates on our blog!
Enjoy and happy guest posting~

Summary on the 3 types of Linkbuilding

Not everyone know this, but there are actually 3 types of linkbuilding strategies and some of you might use them to help promote your blog.

Type 1: Organic Linkbuilding

As the name implies, this is an organic type of linkbuilding. Meaning you don't use any method of trying to acquire links from anyone. The only "artificial" way of getting links that are organic is actually through guest post. Surprised? No, inviting guest post a little bit like inviting someone to your house and leaving a name for himself. (That sort of thing) So it is considered organic to write guest post for people and they leave a link back to your blog.

Type 2: Semi-Organic Linkbuilding

Types of link building methods under semi-organic are things like link exchange submitting your article to some website. or even directory listing. These type of semi-organic linkbuilding doesn't always work for you unfortunately. You should check out one of my post on "10 things you should do to get removed from search engine listing". There are factors to consider before attempting those methods. Will be explained in detail in my next few post.

Type 3: Artificial Linkbuilding

These are artificial methods of linkbuilding. They don't necessary fall under the category of black-hat, rather, you have complete control of where you want your link to appear in. Things like forum posting, they will allow you to leave a signature of your link. However that ain't always work, you will have to read the terms and condition before doing so. Some forums don't allow links in signatures. There are also blog comments, social bookmarking, and profile linkbuilding.
As usual, these methods doesn't always work and if you over do it. You will be considered as a link spammer and will be considered as a black hat method which could risk your site being removed by search engine listings.

Got a rough idea about the 3 types of linkbuilding methods? Will post an in depth information on each category. So if you like it please share this with your friends and to keep yourself updated with our post, remember to subscribe!

Balancing your Following and Follower Count Twitter #6

My 6th post for this Twitter series. Called balancing your following to your follower count. There is a reason for doing so. As you all know there is a limit that twitter can allow you to follow to those whom are your followers. This means that twitter has a limit to how much you can follow depending on the number of followers you have. If you have about 1000 followers, at most you can only follow about 1200-1300 people, depends.

This is important if you are a twitter marketer (In fact, all my twitter post so far have got something to do with it...) if you have a lot of followers, this will mean you will have more people that you will have to keep up with, without knowing whether they will even do business with you. Some of them are dead, long gone, some are spammers. These are the things you might want to clear off your radar. You are here to do business, not to keep spam contacts. This is why having a 1:1 ratio is important in not only keeping a relationship with your true followers, but also allow you to be able to organize your followers better.

Now ask yourself why would you want to follow people? In hopes that they will follow you back? Yes this is quite true, but at the same time, you might also want to follow people that are of your same niche. This way you can build up a relationship with your competitors and probably learn from each other.

How to identify spam accounts that are following you:

As usual, you might want to filter these out, they are not going to help you in your business anyway so why clutter them in your list of followers?
It is easy to identify spam accounts, just look at the twitter account, see whether if they have an avatar, if they have, it is quite likely it is a personal account and even if they haven't sent out any tweets, you can be quite assured it is a real person. If that account follows a lot of people but no followers or tweets, it is quite likely it is a spam account using one of those get followers-fast system or setting up a fake identity.

You can easily block them, look at the illustration below on how to block. But of course I won't block this guy, he is genuine enough.

You can also report them for spam by clicking the option below block option.
Simple enough? You can also further filter your followers list when you find that they don't add much value to your marketing efforts.

What are DM's? Twitter Series #5

Hello, welcome to the next part of the twitter series What is DM. We will also be talking about Auto-DM and the pro and cons of it.

What is DM?
For all those who have already signed up on twitter, you should know that DM stands for direct messages. It means that it is a private message that only you and the one you are trying to message can see. Please note, you can only direct message those people whom have followed you.

Now, some people might have noticed something called auto DM. As the name implies, auto dm means that they have set the message that they will send to you once you followed them.

Here are some pros and cons of them:

Pros'
Prompt Response: Let just say you would like to send a welcome message to your followers to thank them for following you. It can also be the case of promoting your own website or blog. Quite useful in a sense if you would want to safe time by not tweeting the same direct message to all your new twitter followers at once.

Time Saving: As said before, you will be able to safe time by not tweeting the same direct message to all your new twitter followers. It can also help build readership and web traffic.

Cons'
You look pretty lazy: This is exactly the idea you will give people. By not spending time interacting with people and instead send out an automated robot to "communicate" with your new followers will make people think you are lazy.

Lifeless Interaction: How would you feel if you come to a customer service area and they will play a robotic pre-recorded sound "Good Morning what would you need help with" you will answer to it then a real person will then come to address you. Doesn't sound very good does it? Same goes to twitter, it is all about being social and personal conversation. Since a direct message is suppose to be a personal conversation, why tweet the same thing to anyone and everyone?

People will hate you and unfollow you:
Why? Because large amount of people uses auto DM to spam their new followers. If that happens what will be your first and foremost reaction? Unfollow that person because there will be a good chance that the person will continue to spam you.

Auto DM's are useful if you use them to send out of QUALITY to your followers rather than ASKING and EXPECTING them to do something like checking out their website.

You can also find Kyle Lacey's Auto DM petition sign up right here:

Try to avoid Twitter Overload Twitter series #4

Our next post on the Twitter series #4. This time we will discuss on Twitter Overload.

What does this term mean to you? Well, this term means that you have became overwhelmed with all the friend request, comments, question or any other tweets that they sent to you on a regular basis. This is also called Social Media Overload, or since this is twitter, Twitter Overload.

Here are a few signs that you are experiencing from Twitter Overload

Non-Stop Use

Probably the most obvious sign of twitter overload. You just can't stop posting information about yourself and everything else. If you are running a topical blog, you might find yourself experiencing burnout of your tweets and follower request. Which isn't a good thing. Set yourself a limiting barrier. Don't get too obsessed.

Insomnia

Think this won't happen to you? Maybe, maybe not. Sometime you just turn off your computer.. ready to sleep.. then you realize "oh god! I forgot to tweet this and that" then you will spent your entire night thinking about it and cause you to experience inability to sleep or insomnia. This is pretty serious if you ask me.

Tips to avoid Twitter Overload:

Set yourself a time limit:

Sound simple? It is actually, it still all boils down to self control. Limit yourself to about 10-15 minutes everyday managing your followers, contacts, interaction that sort. If you are already addicted to Facebook, you wouldn't want to be addicted to twitter as well, do you?

Respect the time you set!
Another simple way to avoid burnout or Twitter Overload. Respect the time you set, 10 minutes means 10 minutes no more! Schedule you time well and don't bypass that limit. Practice self-control. Time management is the key to success.

To be honest, these rules applies more for commercial marketers who WILL be checking their twitter accounts everyday. Most will be obsessed with it bad things happen, so this is why I am providing these tips first before we go a little more in depth on some of the third party software and also get to understand Twitter a little better.

What do you tweet about? Twitter Series #3

The third part series on Twitter, "What do you tweet about?" Especially if you are promoting products or services, you should be mindful of the sort of things that you tweet on twitter. A wrong tweet could cause you to lose followers and this will mean in a loss of sale. Similarly, if you are a web or blog owner who creates a twitter account to start your "twitter empire" of followers. You should also be mindful of the things that you tweet. As they can help you promote your blog on your behalf. It's a good and free advertising, don't you think?

So here are the Five types of tweet you would probably most commonly tweet on twitter:

Personal Message:

Everything that is regarding about you! That's a personal message. You tweet about your home, your work, your life, your boss whatever. Just share something that you won't mind others to know. This sort of sharing kind of let's people know you better.

Questions:

Got a question on a product you would like to ask your followers? Or just something generic you would like to ask like "Are you an iPhone fan ?" this sort. This tweet promotes interaction between you and your followers and you will be able to build a good relationship with your followers.

Retweets and Replies:

Talk to people, respond to their tweet or carry on a conversation with them. Another good form of interaction with your followers. Retweet their tweet basically share your followers tweet with your followers who would share that tweet with it's followers and so on. This is something we call viral tweet. We will discuss about them somewhere in this series.

Commercial Messages:

Something bloggers like me and you probably won't be tweeting about, however, twitter marketers will be doing this as a way of promoting their product. An example of a commercial message will be "Offering a big discount coupons on our latest Hunger Games book on your nearest bookstores!" Was that Mockingjay or Catching Fire? Can't remember... Anyway back to topic, commercial message are something for you to promote your products. Too many commercial message and people will consider you as a spammer. (Literally) [Will discuss more on this topic as we move on the series]

Miscellaneous Messages:

Does anyone of you have Facebook? You might probably come across people saying some inspirational quotes like ‎"There are no speed limits on the road to excellence." or some songs you are listening to like one of my friend's post on Facebook: "Happy birthday Justin Bieber's mum ! ((: Thank you for bringing him into this world ! ♥"
or another one like this: "#nowplaying Taylor Swift - Safe and Sound (A soundtrack for Hunger Games.) Her voice really pierces through my heart .." So how many likes Taylor Swift and how many hate Justin Bieber? Eh.. Off topic again. Anyway, miscellaneous message are messages that does not fit into any of the message types above. This basically means.... you're just being random XD

Advertisements? How much, is too much?

Advertisements, as everyone know, it is one way of generating revenue for your blog for the hard work you put into it and think you deserve some credit. Now, remember this one point, readers are here for your content, not your advertisements. If there are too many advertisements, it will direct or distract your readers to focus on those ads instead of your content. Which means it will be a waste of effort (unless you copy from other sites).

Know your limits:
Know your limits when having advertisements. Advertising companies like Google Adsense has strict policy on how many ads you can have and currently it is 3 ads per page, no more than that.
If you have other sort of advertising methods such as:

  • Pop-Ups ads
  • Pop-Under Links ads
  • Text-links ads
  • Interstitial ads
  • Or even Survey ads
The ones above this list are not really recommended, other than Text-links ads. Unless your blog has really good content or established, these might not be a very good choice of advertising methods. In fact, if you are just starting, with little content, you will need to gain trust with your  audience by doing a "promise" that you will not abandon the blog. So even when your blog is flooded with ads, (Even for established sites not recommended) there will still be readers reading your blog.

Ads like Interstitial ads, pop-ups or pop-under ads and survey, drives visitor away from your blog. Especially unique visitors who are important for maintaining your blogs status.

Examples of Interstitial ads:
There are two types of interstitial ads, one of them is the one above, the other type is a something like a pop-up box, but more of a pop-up frame instead that obstructs the view of your visitors and will be required to click close or skip after a certain period of time in order to view the website's content.

Companies offering interstitial ads:(Cost-Per-View or Cost-Per-Click or both)

Adf.ly: Click here to join (A link shrinker that redirects a user to view an ad before able to click 'skip ad' to skip it and redirect you to your blog/website.)

Clicksor:
They also offer pop-ups, pop-under, text links, banners and interstitial ads

Survey ads (Also known as Cost-per-action CPA)

Adscend Media:
Please note, that Adscend Media is different and totally not affiliated with Google Adsense in anyway. Adscend Media offers pop-up, interstitial, banner, survey advertising. A lot of file sharing site also took advantage of such sites by using a PHP script to force user to complete a survey in order to unlock a download. The famous Pay-Per-Action file sharing site is Sharecash. Adscend Media can be used to make users complte a survey to access a restricted page or a particular download. Very few barriers for entry, making this site very popular.

CPA Lead:
Example of CPA lead survey, CPA as the acronym suggests (Cost-Per-Action), it is purely for locking up content with a gateway lock. Users will have to fill up a survey in order to join.

These are the not very pleasant way of trying to make money on the web and at the same time expecting visitors to view them. Unless your content is extremely tempting for your users to download, otherwise no one will want to visit that webpage. Thus losing visitors.

Have you ever had experience with either of these site? Share you views and thoughts here by dropping a comment!

10 things you should do to get removed from search engines results !

Search Engine Rankings

Ten tips you should follow if you want to get removed from search engines.

1. Stuff your keywords (Recommended Method)

Stuff all of your keywords into the meta keywords section onto your blog/websites! Search engines won't ban you, but you will drop from 10000 to perhaps 50000000 in a blink of an eye, or even total removal from Google (Awesome). This can be achieved by having a keyword density of more than 10% per post (Roughly).

2. Hide keywords ( 2nd Runner up)
Start stuffing invisible text, in the bottom of your page! Stuff as many as possible and once the search engines finds it, you rank will drop by a significant amount of over a few million. (Works best with no.1)

3. Buy Links or publish links (Also known as Paid Links)
Another way of bringing down your search rankings is to sell tons of links through 3rd party services such as Text Link Broker without the "NoFollow" tag! Not only your rankings will go down, the advertiser who published the links will also go down with you! How great, two birds with one stone.

4. Sponsored Post (Sponsored Reviews)
Yay, let's make more money using paid posting! Make sure when you visit sites like PayPerPost, remember to make sure that the conditions is that you cannot add a "Nofollow" tag. Not only you will be able to make money with this method, your blog/website will immediately receive an invisible special alert from search engines, that will be your blog/website be totally removed from the search engine rankings. (Yay!!!)

5. Let's go Link-trading/building crazy shall we?

Yeah, let's make all of our time go to waste by spending time on doing link trading with websites/blog with topics different from us, this will ensure that not only do we waste a lot of time, at the same time, we see results! (No increase in rankings)

6. Including irrelevant links to external pages
Well, this sure is good, having tons of external links that are totally irrelevant not only drives readers away from your blog, your search engine rankings won't increase. So remember, stuff tons of external links onto your blog/website to ensure maximum distraction to your readers!

7. Search Companies that offer instant results for search engine optimization
If you have a lot of money and have no idea where to waste, it is recommended that you go to companies that offer instant results for search engine optimization, research and reviews are not required. Also go to companies that does link farming, this will ensure that your website/blog will have an extremely drastic effect which you intended and get pulled down on your rankings. A great way to spend your money on.

8. Let's start a scraper site! (For more information visit this Link)
Copy content from almost every website/blog you visit and directly copy them over! After a while once the webmasters found out that you have copied from them, you will not only receive a special attention from them, but also on the hands of the law (Great, I have always wanted to visit the supreme court once). So, remember to copy as much as possible in order to ensure that you will spend quality time, in the court, answering to your actions, I can ensure you that it will be an experience of a lifetime.

9. Limiting your efforts on Google
Good idea, let's lose the other 34.9% potential audience onto our website/blog to ensure that our blog/website climb slowly and smoothly though the ranks the search engine.

10. Let's give up!
Let's give up! We have already build up an archive of post of about 20, so let's just abandon it and stuff it with advertisements! Not only will we be able to make little money, we will also lose tons of traffic across the internet!

Quick Start to Twitter Series #1

My first attempt to start a series of post, posted weekly every Monday. It will be about 10 parts long, but I might extend it depending on how much I might need to cover.

Twitter, is a social network that allows you to post message less than 140 characters. Twitter is like a network when you send out a tweet, everyone in the world can see it. (Or at least those who joined Twitter)

Twitter is something like an SMS, you can use short forms in your post. They are called tweets. Something like a micro-blogging as discussed earlier in this post.

Following Other users and followed:

Follow others, their tweet will appear on your timeline. You don't need approval to follow people neither do they need your approval to follow you so long your account status has been set to public. Which it is by default. You might want to follow people who is in your niche which could be helpful in the long run (Will be discussed in the later series).

The purpose of having a twitter account:

What is your purpose of having a twitter account? Or to be more exact, what do you want to do with an account?

Sharing News and Stories?

Would you want share some interesting news with people? For example the new iPhone 4s, or the new iPad 3, would you want to share the news of the date when it comes into market? Or perhaps you would like to share news about politics? Endless opportunities for you, you can just pick one topic and just spread the word!

Personal Use probably?

Some people uses twitter for personal use, for example, you would like to share your thoughts with your friends, family or whoever who follows you. People who uses twitter for personal use can set their twitter status to private. Some people also create twitter accounts to follow their favorite band or singer. Nowadays the latest trend is on K-pop follow some superstars on twitter might seem like a good idea, but chances of them following you back is almost impossible.

Customer Service?

The ways of using twitter can also be used to convey messages of help to other users whom uses your products. More for commercial use than personal use. This is also an easy, quick and hassle-free way of helping customers in need and a quick reply can help save your customer by addressing their needs.

That's all for this post. I would like to hear what you use twitter for and feel free to drop a comment. Like this post? Take a few minute to share it or "tweet it" as twitter users would say.
Hope you like it and enjoy!~

YouTube SEO? Another way to get your blog noticed.

Hello, this time I will be talking about YouTube SEO. YouTube now is a pretty important factor when it comes to SEO and it will definitely help improve your site rankings.

A lot of people don't notice that there are a lot of business-related keyword searches made on YouTube. In fact as much as 1.5 million of such searches has been done on a weekly basis.

Here are some reasons why YouTube videos can improve your website/blog rankings. Internet marketers can also learn from this as well. For internet marketers, you might consider this as video marketing.

Here are some reasons why YouTube videos can help raise your website visibility:

1. Prioritized Search on Google

Notice how videos with the correct keywords can appear on Google Top list? Why not you try an experiment. Have a video with the exact heading and tags as your blog post then do a search of it. See which one came out first. Most likely that YouTube video you posted is going to come out first rather than your blog. Why does YouTube videos with your keywords rank better on Google searches than your blog? Here are 2 reasons why:
  1. YouTube is Owned By Google (So what better way to maintain it's position of the 3rd most viewed website than to self-promote it's own website?)
  2. As mentioned above, the popularity of this website is huge, that's why videos under YouTube's domain will be more visible than any blog with the exact same number headings and keywords.

2. The algorithms they use to rank videos

Why do I mention this? Your video (for that particular keyword) is ranked based on views, likes, subscribers, favorites, share and comments. As well as whether you are on Google Partnership. That is why given sometime in finding good keywords for your video can let other find your video easier this would increase the views and makes your video rank much higher than the rest! As for the likes, subscribers as such, are purely on the viewers choice so you can't really do anything about it. But so long as you don't try to deceive them you will get pretty good ratings.

So my tip to you is that you should really make use of YouTube to do your video marketing. Video marketing is getting bigger by the day, so don't lose out this chance of getting a good hold of SEO. Start Now!

Improve your Google Page Rank on Blogger #1

Hello, this is XxRazex and this is by 150th post! So this time I will be sharing with you one very simple tweak that you can do to your blog to increase or improve your Google Page Rank or improve visibility of your blog.

Did you know having a good title tag is a must? Search engine robots place more importance in the title tag much more than your header, content, whatsoever. But blogs by Google aren't really tuned to good SEO. So that means we will have to make certain modifications to it. The first one I am going to post about is making your title tag display your post header name and your blogs name in this format:

Your Post Name | Blog name OR
Your Post Name ~ Blog Name

A screenshot of my title tag:

This will improve your search results on Google as they can identify your post much easier. Also people searching for them will get a higher chance of finding your post.

Here's how you do it, it might require you to go into HTML, but trust me, the results will be worth it.
As usual, it is recommended that you backup your template first before making any changes if you have absolutely no knowledge of HTML to troubleshoot any problem.

Step 1:
In your Blogger dashboard, go to “Layout” => “Edit HTML”.

Step 2:
In the template code,  search for this: <title><data:blog.pageTitle/></title>. It is usually in the top few codes of your template

Step 3:
Replace that bit of code with the following code:
<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == &quot;index&quot;'>
<title><data:blog.title/></title>
<b:else/>
<title><data:blog.pageName/> | <data:blog.title/></title>
</b:if>
Mine is presented in this way instead: <title><data:blog.pageName/> ~ <data:blog.title/></title>
You could also use this if you prefer.

Step 4:
Now save the template and you should be able to observe the change from this:
"Blog Name: Post Name" to "Your Post Name | Blog name" OR "Your Post Name ~ Blog Name"

Now watch as your traffic increases every single day! Hope you like this post and help us promote our blog by subscribing to us! Subscribers get exclusive priority than just being a blog reader on the content we have planned to come!

Percentage of click-through rates on Google

Here are the statistics of the number of clicks vs the number of visitors:

First Page:
1st position: 30%
2nd Position: 15%
3rd Position: 7%
4th Position: 5%
5th Position: 4%
6th Position: 4%
7th Position: 2%
8th Position: 2%

9th Position: 3%
10th Position: 5%

Second Page:
1st Position: 6%
2nd Position: 4%
3rd Position: 2%
4th Position: <1%

So the conclusion is, if you don't make it to the top two page, you can forget about your website being clicked by anyone. Which is why it is important to ensure that your website to be listed as the top few through organic methods, it is important to perform SEO.
