Twitter Alert? Twitter Series #7

Have you ever used something called Google Alerts? Well, if you have, you should know that what Google Alerts does is to alert you whenever the content changes and they will sent you a notification via email. Somewhat like a web feed.

Similarly, on Twitter, there is also a service providing a similar function like Google alerts. This service is called Tweetbeep.

First, create an account over here: Tweetbeep (Don't worry, it is free)
After you sign up, remember to confirm your account by clicking the link email they sent you. Otherwise you won't receive any updates or notifications.

Once you have done the above, click on My Alerts in your account and click on 'New Keyword Alert' to display the new keyword alert page as shown below:

Fill in the fields to define your search criteria and then click on 'Save Alert' and your are done! So why not grab a coffee (or espresso maybe) and lay back on your chair and watch tweetbeep do all the hard work for you!

Another cool, yet important feature they offer is that they also help you create alerts for a particular domain. It can check for domains even if the link is shortened via bit.ly or some other link shortening services. Good way to track who mentions your site name on Twitter and you can find out what they are saying about your website.

That's all I have for you today! Hope you find this post interesting and useful. Remember to subscribe for more if you liked it!
